We were approached by the owners of large Post Industrial Complex in Kolbenova to help them create a brand identify for their ‘Art District’, set in a highly distinctive old car factory. The Pragovka Art District, which has become one of the most authentic and sought after locations for young artists. The one of a kind space, with it’s retro charm was ideal for artists working in many forms, to set up their own studios and workshops, in it’s hive like, 3 Floor interior. With low rents and a environment that allowed them creative freedom, with the true spirit of an art factory.
The owners saw an opportunity to develop this project to include cultural events of all kinds, from fashion markets, to Dance music parties and anything in between.
This was a truly loved project for us, and gave us the opportunity, if not in some small part, to support this fantastic project, by creating a distinctive brand identity and industrial website, along with a brand identity for communications.
The logo itself combines several aspects. A 3 level logo, reflecting the 3 floors of the building, but also it forms the shape of an engine piston block, inspired by its historical use as a car factory. Finally, the elements combine to create an eye of sorts, reflecting it’s basis in the visual arts.
Although we suggested to the ciient to use the historical name of the factory ‘pragovka’ the original pragovka branding and logo is owned by the car company itself.
